20km PREMIER SHOWDOWN
4 Laps for the serious racer.
Open to all and winners will be crowned King and Queen of the
Mahurangi River.
10km RACE
2 laps
This is an ideal distance for Sea Kayaks, Surf Skis ,multisport and recreation paddlers.
5km CRUISE
1 Lap
This is great course and well suited for first time paddlers, children or those wishing to cruise and enjoy a casual paddle.

For both 12.6' and 14' SUPs

Bring the whole family and once racing is finished enjoy the Kowhai Festival.

If you would like to take part in the Canoe Showdown but don't have a kayak thanks to Star Kayaks we are able to make that happen.
There will be a number of Star Kayaks available on race day and will compete in their own 2km time trial.
This is the perfect way to get into kayaking.
Come on down for a fun paddle with the family.
Enter the Canoe Showdown so we can ensure you will have a Star Kayak to paddle on the day. Spaces are limited.
